Huawei Honor Note 10 Is Just A Dash Short Of Being A Tablet

Huawei Honor Note 10

Huawei recently announced a new smartphone – dubbed as Note 10 – under its Honor sub-brand. The new phablet-sized device was showcased at a launch even that took place in China.

Honor-10-Note

The new Huawei Honor Note 8 takes its design cues from Huawei Honor 8.

Talking about its specs, the Honor 8 features a gigantic 6.95-inch Full HD+ (1080 x 2220) display with AMOLED technology. Interestingly, the screen has no notch on top of it and flaunts quite thin bezels on the sides.

Sadly, the new phone doesn’t possess a water-sealed body and therefore comes with no rating for protection from water and dust damage.

It is certainly a step taken by the company in order to cut the manufacturing cost, and thus bring the price of the mobile down from a price-bracket where the most high-end flagships fall in.

The Huawei Honor Note 10 packs the company’s own Kirin 970 processor coupled with 6GB and 8GB RAM module variants. To top it off, the inbuilt storage of the mobile packs either 4GB or 128GB for 6 GB variant, whereas the 8GB variant of the device has only 128GB storage model.

Adding to that, it has Huawei’s GPU Turbo technology. To enable this high-performance mode, especially during playing games, a dedicated turbo button is also there.

Talking about its primary photography prowess, the phone has a 24MP (f/1.8) + 16(f/1.8) dual-lens camera module on the back side, along with an LED flash. However, a scaled down 13MP (f/2.0) sensor on the front serves as a selfie shooter.

Notably, the cameras on the phone are powered with AI that supports scene recognition, apart from the AI stabilization for taking the shots using night mode.

Battery & Operating System

The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box with company’s EMUI 8.2 skin stitched on top of it.

With all these goodies alongside a monstrously large screen, a phone needs to have a wealthy source of juice. To fulfill the power needs, the Huawei Honor Note 10 flaunts a huge 5000mAh battery.

Without a doubt, the battery packed inside the phone is huge. However, the company has thrown in the support for fast charging. The mobile boasts of fast charging using a 5V/4.5A power adapter.

Pricing & Availibility

The whole package that the Huawei offers seems very competitive given its pricing for the home region. The pricing starts at CNY 2,799 for 6GB + 64GB variants with hitting a top of CNY 3,199 and CNY 3,599 for 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage models.

The Huawei Honor Note 10 is available for pre-order in China in two colors: Midnight Black and Phantom Blue. The buyers who pre-order their new phones will get their products from as early as August 1, the day when the shipping starts.

Whereas, the availability of the device in other regions and parts of the world is still unannounced officially, hence unknown.

We will update this article as we get more information on this new shiny product from the Chinese maker. What do you think of the new phablet? Let us know in the comments section.
